Shoot A Free Company Video With Google’s ‘Youtube Director For Business’
By Summer Nowak
Youtube is the second largest search engine in the world and provides:
Attentive Reach (with a very engaging video platform)
Cultural influence (a major tool in how people stay relevant and caught up with world events)
Measureable results (anything you can see on Adwords you can see on Youtube…that’s a lot of data about your viewers!)
Youtube has come out with a new product that will send a professional filmmaker to your business to make a 30 second video…for free. The only catch is that you have to buy atleast $150 worth of advertising on Youtube for it once it’s completed.
The process is very simple with the video only taking a total of 3 hours to shoot.
Once you sign up, you will be contacted within a week and have a completed video within a few weeks. You have a say what the video is going to look like every step along the way. You get to choose your own template for your video whether it is to show who you are, how something is done, testimonials or to showcase a certain product you offer.
Right now this service is only offered in:
- San Francisco
- Los Angeles
- New York City
It is said to be coming to many other cities soon and eventually internationally. However, if your city is not one of those listed above there’s another option. Google has come out with an app (downloadable through Itunes) called Youtube Director For Business. It is the exact same process except a director doesn’t come and shoot the footage for you. Within the app you are able to choose the template you would like to use, and then Youtube director gives you shot-by-shot guidance- so it is a fully guided process from the start to finish. After everything has been filmed, the app then stitches together the video for you to create the finished product. Youtube Director For Business is now available in 20 new regions and in 14 different languages.
