What’s new in Leadbox’s Latest Website Release – March 22, 2021

By Renold Liu

The Leadbox core website team is excited to announce the latest release of the Leadbox website platform!

This release includes:

  • Search by wildcard on the Inventory Block
  • Sticky VDP header layout
  • Search by Package Codes in the URL

Let’s take a look:

Search by wildcard on the Inventory Block

Many of our dealers will organize their inventory by using a naming convention in their stock numbers. For example, a prefix for used cars traded in vs bought from an auction.

Leadbox’s inventory block can now show vehicles using the dealer’s stock number naming conversions by allowing for a ‘wild card search in the Inventory Block.

Simply add a “*” to a stock number to represent the wild card.

For example, inputting “FN2*” in the stock number field will return all vehicles with a stock number that starts with “FN2*” and inputting “*655” will result in all vehicles with a stock number that ends with “655”
Adding in:

Will result in:

Sticky VDP Header Layout

Vehicle information is important. That’s why we’ve introduced a new configuration to allow for the vehicle information to be fixed to the top of the page at all times – even when scrolling.

At this point, this feature requires Leadbox to enable and configure. However, dealers will be able to instruct Leadbox on what to put in the Call to Action button label and where the link goes.

Should you want to configure your VDP to behave in this manner, please contact support@leadboxhq.com and Leadbox will enable this for you.

Filter inventory by package codes

Electric and hybrid vehicles are now starting to be the hottest thing and many dealers want to set up landing pages specifically for hybrid or electric vehicles. However, many manufacturers use package codes rather than models or trims to organize their electric vehicles.

The Leadbox website platform now allows dealers to specify the package code in the URL of the SRP to show vehicles with specific package codes.

To use, simply add “/package/{package code}/” to the URL of the SRP page.

For example:

https://{SampleLeadboxDealer}/new-inventory/package/200a/

Will show all new inventory with the package code “200a”
